Instructions: Request a Tuition Rate Change

You may qualify for in-state tuition or a reduced tuition rate in one of two ways:

Be classified as a Utah resident through one of the approved residency reclassification pathways.
Qualify for a tuition reduction waiver, such as the Border Waiver, which provides a partial reduction of the nonresident portion of tuition but does not change your residency classification.

Temporary Employment: Working outside Utah on a temporary basis (including internships, seasonal jobs, or short-term contracts) while keeping your legal residence in Utah.
